I have only had a chance to use this machine once to purée some sweet potatoes for baby food. It did an excellent job. Seems more solid and powerful then my Hamilton beach one.
I do wish the shaft was longer for hot soups.

I've come to rely on the KitchenAid brand. I have a mixer and a dishwasher and I've never been dissatisfied with either one. Not only is this a dependably running blender, I like the design in that the blender end detaches so that you could actually throw that part in the dishwasher if you want. Keep up the good work!

I bought this mixer to help me in the kitchen. But when my best friend visited me, I wound up giving it to her instead. Like me, Anne is a wonderful cook, but her arthritis often makes cooking a painful chore. Something as simple as stirring a soup or sauce is torture for arthritic hands. So Anne left with mine. I bought another one for myself. This mixer is invaluable in my kitchen, daily helping me turn out meals and the small bowls of velvety frosting I make to decorate my cookies. Thank you for my new "alternate" hand! I'm getting another one for my sister. We just don't want to give up cooking and baking just because our joints are uncooperative. I'm also getting one for my brother-in-law for Christmas. He's a great cook and has M.S., which seriously limits his stirring ability. (It will also help him when he's playing bartender and mixing his fancy cocktails.)
