Have almost always owned Kitchenaid Coffee Makers - 2 of which had a "double touch"
to initiate brewing - it you weren't familiar with it & touched it one more time the clean cycle would come on - this one with its one touch is a great change & really love the new look! Same great coffee!!

We got this giving it a shot. It really has worked out awesome and I like the strong brew feature. I cannot wait till they put out a thermal carafe though. One of the cutest things about this machine is there is a spot on the water reservoir for a thermo or two!

I received another model Kitchenaid Coffee Maker as a gift. It did not perform as it should and I contacted customer service to replace it. They could not have been nicer and willing to help. They sent me the 12 Cup coffee maker and I couldn't be more pleased.

We loved our 14 cup Kitchen Aid coffee pot but they discontinued the model. We purchased this one thinking it would be just as good but it's pretty awful. The first annoying thing is that the warmer only works after brewing a pot, with the old model you could put in on brew and warm an entire carafe even if the coffee had been sitting cold for hours. The quality is really poor, the glass of the carafe seems thing and the brew door is constantly catching when you open and close. We love Kitchen Aid products but they really missed the target with this one.

You can never go wrong with KitchenAid. I just replaced my dishwasher, refrigerator, oven and microwave with KitchenAid so of course I had to get this coffee maker when I saw it at Macy's. It's a great looking machine, easy to use and makes a great cup of coffee.

I purchased this model around 3 years ago and it worked well. Tonight, I set it to clean mode since the sensor said it was time to clean it. Imagine my unpleasant surprise to find ALL THE WATER I POURED INTO THE RESEVOIR ON MY HARDWOOD FLOORS after it cycled through. Yeah. The water leaked from the bottom of the unit (I have no idea how), onto my countertop, then onto my floor. I examined the bottom of the unit and could find no issues to explain this. Clearly, I need a new coffeemaker now, and it's not going to be Kitchenaid. I'm bummed because I loved the features and ease of use.

I lasted for about 8 months, very nice, very reliable and then it just beeped and decided not to brew anymore. Great customer service - it was still under warranty and they replaced the unit. I just expected a Kitchen Aid to be longer lasting. So far so good with the replacement...

This is a good coffee maker for the price. It is mostly plastic construction but is of good quality.
Controls are simple and easy to use.
The heating element under the carafe doesn't get so hot that it burns the coffee.
The carafe is a little thinner than other ones I have had in the past, but it does not seem like it will break easily.
The built in water filter is a nice feature. It seems to help with the overall flavor of the coffee.

I'm very pleased with my purchase. It is for my boyfriend. He wasn't that excited about a new coffee pot. He thought his old one was fine. He's a retired long haul truck driver, biker, & a rugged individual. He likes his coffee very bold, strong, robust and not meant for the faint of heart. He's really impressed with the machine. I don't think he will ever want a cup of coffee brewed at home any other way. Nice retro design. Bold coffee feature, durable and sturdy. I give this machine 5 STARS ! Truck driver and biker approved !

This is more of a question, but the appliance was great. I was wondering if there was a replacement module that controls the device, some functions are not working correctly. Otherwise the appliance worked well for over a year with regular cleanings. Never did get a replacement tank filter and always used clear water to brew with.

I bought this in October 2017 and loved the accurate hot coffee everyday for the first few months until the carafe handle broke making pour coffee tricky. I called and easily got a replacement carafe ordered. We were good for the next two months when I woke up one morning to get coffee and poured my cup and walked away and the moment I walked away I heared a loud crash and the glass carafe shattered and near missed burning my bare feet. I called Kitchen Aid customer service and they were extremely helpful and understanding in getting me a brand new coffeemaker sent out to me. The problem now remains the brand new unit that came doesn't make the coffee as hot as the first unit. Do I dare call customer service again about more issues?...absolutely and all they want is for you to be happy. I called and explained my situation and asked if I could try a different model in my same price point?...they checked and said no problem. The Kitchen Aid 14 cup brewer is on the way. I have several kitchen aid products in my home and am not the least bit upset about their products, warranties or customer service.

I do really like this coffee maker. There are a couple of things I would change. The basket for the coffee opens to the left. I find this a little awkward, the first few times I made coffee, I spilled the ground coffee when putting in the basket. Also I would like a 3 hour timer instead of 2. But the coffee is great!
